Videasy in depth
Videasy: one iframe for movies, TV and streaming pages
Videasy is a free movie and TV embed player and API. You embed a title by its TMDB ID — one iframe for a movie, one iframe with season and episode for a TV episode — with no API key, no signup, and no per-title setup. The player handles adaptive quality and subtitles, so the page around it can stay simple: a title, a description written for that title, and the player itself.
That simplicity is also what makes Videasy useful for a whole site, not just a single embed. The same URL pattern serves a single movie page, a full episode guide, or a streaming site with hundreds of titles, because the only thing that changes from page to page is the TMDB ID and, for TV, the season and episode numbers.
Videasy Player
The drop-in player: one iframe, one TMDB ID, adaptive quality, subtitles built in, and exact-episode links for TV. Videasy player →
Videasy API
The URL-based embed API: movie and TV endpoints, no key, no token, no SDK. Build the URL in any language or framework. Videasy API →
Videasy Streaming
Streaming through an embed: one player per title, lazy loading for list pages, and episode navigation built from URL numbers. Videasy streaming →
Videasy Movies
Movie-only embeds: find the film on TMDB, check title, year and poster, and paste one iframe. No season, no episode, no extra setup. Videasy movies →
How to use Videasy in three steps
Find the TMDB ID. Open the title on themoviedb.org, check title, year and poster, and copy the number from the URL. Do not use an IMDb ID — TMDB and IMDb numbering are different.
Build the iframe URL. Movies use /embed/movie/{TMDB_ID}. TV episodes use /embed/tv/{TMDB_ID}/{SEASON}/{EPISODE}. Try it in the live player tester above before you put it on a real page.
Put it in a 16:9 wrapper and test on mobile. The wrapper should be 100% wide with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and the iframe should fill it. Test one movie and one TV episode on a phone before publishing a template change site-wide.
Who Videasy is for, and who it is not for
Videasy is for movie sites, TV episode guides, personal projects and developers who want a simple embed without hosting video files, running transcoding, or building a player. It is not for sites that need their own video files, their own encoding, or their own DRM — an embed is the wrong tool for those jobs, and this page does not pretend otherwise. If your site's value is in its pages, guides and recommendations, an embed is usually the right choice. If your value is in owning the files themselves, it is not.
